| During a recent session of the Texas Legislature a new law was passed which allows drivers of all ages to take a six (6) hour Drug and Alcohol Driving Awareness Program and upon completion “shall have a credit of 5% applied to the rate otherwise applicable…” For you, this means that as long as your auto insurance is through a state regulated company you will not only receive a 10% auto insurance credit for your child’s completion of driver education; but, an additional 5% for completing the six-hour drug and alcohol driving course. |
